Altus has completed hundreds of construction projects in our 26 year history. Our staff of highly-skilled metal, marble and wood artisans and tradesmen ensures that your project receives the quality service and dependable follow-up that you expect.
High Standards & Quality Control
Our time tested-apprenticeship system assures that your project is carefully supervised for consistency and excellence during all phases of work. Quality workmanship and service is always a priority at Altus, and our work ethic is respected throughout the industry.
Known as a ‘safe’ company, at Altus safety is a priority. The skills and technical education of all Altus field supervisors, foremen, technicians, and journeymen are regularly evaluated and upgraded in union approved and sponsored safety programs such as hazardous materials training and in changes in industry rules and regulations.
We go beyond accepted industry regulations and standards by rigorously and regularly testing the low Volume Organic Compounds (VOC) lacquers and solvents we use. We strive for the “green” approach in the use of construction, conservation and restoration applications for ornamental metal, stone and wood. Based upon our test findings we either seek or create alternative “green” product replacements, or innovative new processes.
Training & Supervision – The Keys to our Success
However, to ensure that our own high standards are met, Altus supplements union training with in-house safety programs. All Altus employees are OSHA certified. Our trucks are equipped with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Manuals of all products used and of all safety gear required by OSHA standards.
Regular site visits, tool book talks, and shop training by our certified OSHA consultant ensures that all safety regulations and rules are enforced and adhered to.
